It’s not that the audio is staticky/bad quality, it’s only picking up static. If I record using Audacity there is NO static. This could be from an assortment of source, poor shielding, poor connection, or some problem in the electronics. Went through a similar experience to mine. Computer help from your peers and experienced hands. If I add my microphone as one of the input, as soon as some sound is playing, my microphone will pick it up. I was thinking of some sort of amplifier because apparently my shitty soundcard could be an issue according to my research, like when I mute the mic and play music at ear splitting levels the discord tester still pics it up, in fact even when the headset is unplugged but the cable still connected to the PC, the tester apparently picks up noise, but I don't know if the extreme volume/muted mic My mic has been picking up the audio playing from my pc into my headphones, and also picking up loud static constantly.
